I remember her ,I was so intimidated by her but still I felt a loving ,soft side somehow...one time in her class she said , no gum ,no...well just about everything..right? And no cracking your knuckles..hands..well it was complete silence and she heard a crack..and ask with authority in her voice ..who just cracked their knuckles? Well I had to raise my hand..and she asked me if I cracked my knuckles and I said no...sister it was my toe! My face was straight and honest but everyone bursted out laughing and I looked to her and she was smiling! She had a beautiful smile if ever you could catch it ..I did and I'll never forget it.. :)

Sad to hear. What an awesome teacher she was. I will never forget her standing in the front of the class with her pointer. You better have known your times tables! Rest in peace.

I had Sister Estelle as a math/geometry teacher and a typing teacher at St. Anne's High School in Noranda Quebec.  What I always remember about Sister Estelle was that she would not expect/allow anyone to fail.  Also, she had the cleanest classroom of any in the high school!  As I am typing this, I realize that I can use all of my fingers because Sister Estelle taught us all how to type on manual type writers.  When I went to journalism school at Carleton University I didn't have to take the typing class because I passed the typing placement exam with flying colours. Thank you Sister Estelle for your dedication to ALL students in the class room, and for making us memorize the Pythagorean theorem.  You will be missed.

Sister Estelle was a teacher of mine in St. Annes High School. She was a very strong individual and she made quite an impression on me. I have often thought of her over the years. She is probably the only High School Teacher that I really remember. One thing I do remember his her refusing to leave the classroom during a teachers walkout. We didn't want to either but eventually we were put where we had no option. I will never forget her determination that day. I will remember her always. Sincerest condolences to her family and loved ones and to all the students who felt about her the way I did.

I met you as a child in Northern Quebec and have never forgotten you.  After reading what a rich, full life you've led, I am sorry that I did not have the opportunity to know you as an adult.   May you be at peace, Sister Estelle.

Sister Estelle taught me during my final year in high school at St Anne's High School in Noranda. She was instrumental in me choosing to attend teacher's college and thus began my teaching career. Our condolences and prayers are extended to her family. May our Lord welcome his faithful daughter into His eternal light. RIP
