Cremation

Before cremation takes place...

  • Any scheduled ceremonies, rites of passage or viewings should have been completed.
  • All authorization forms and permits must have been completed and signed by the appropriate person(s).
  •  Depending on state/provincial and local laws, there may be a waiting period of up to 48 hours from the time of death before cremation can take place.
  • Most crematories require the body to be cremated in a combustible, rigid, covered container, if a casket is not being used.

Direct Cremation:  $ 2,295.00*

Direct Cremation with Container provided by purchaser:  $ 2,195.00*

* Please add Crematory Charge & Massachusetts Medical Examiner Fee

If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering).  The container we provide is a fiberboard container.
