Victoria Rose (Zito) Pimental, 75, of Midland, Georgia passed away Wednesday March 17, 2021 at Piedmont Hospital after a four month battle with Covid-19. She was the loving wife of CSM, Richard Pimental, USA, Ret. for the past 58 years. She was born in Newark, NJ the daughter of Alphonse and Elizabeth (Jackson) Zito. Vicki was a 1963 graduate of Harrison High School in Harrison, NJ. She spent the majority of her adult life traveling with her husband proudly serving and supporting our Army troops. During this time, as a member of the Sergeant Majors Wives Club, she received the Commander's Award for Public Service. She was also honored to serve as an ambassador for the 1996 Summer Olympics. While standing by Rich's side she worked full time since she was 16 years old and retired from banking in 2010 with 30+ years in the financial industry. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Columbus and also a member of the Red Hat Society. She was an avid bowler, enjoying both tournament and league bowling and was a member of the Georgia USBC WBA. Vicki also enjoyed golfing, crafting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Our mother, wife, sister, grandma and best friend was the center of everyone’s world and deeply touched each person’s heart. She was the one who made you laugh until you cried and she held your hand when you were sad. She was the light of our world and the wind beneath our wings. To know her was to love her. Oh and we can't forget she was always happy to cook up a nice Italian meal.
In addition her husband Richard, she leaves two sons, Gene Pimental and wife Kristin and Nathan Pimental all of Midland, GA; her daughter Renee Yarbrough and husband Scot, of Fortson, GA; a brother Joseph Zito of Pennsylvania; a sister Mary Fredo of New Jersey; nine grandchildren, Kristine Corona, Amanda Collins, Timothy Collins, Kayla Pimental, Ethan Pimental, Noah Pimental and Alex Pimental, Jamie Yarbrough and Davis Yarbrough; three great grandchildren, William, Libby and Caroline Corona.
A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated Friday March 26th at 10 AM in St. Anne Catholic Church, 2000 Kay Circle, Columbus Georgia. Burial will be private.
