Robert F. Dunn

Marlborough- Robert F. Dunn, 79, of Marlborough died Tuesday January 25, 2022 at Marlborough Hospital. He was the husband of Jeanne E. (Rio) Dunn for the past 56 years. Born in Patterson, NJ he was the son of the late Frank and Anita (Greenwood) Dunn. He was a graduate of Passaic Valley High School and went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Seton Hall University. Bob served in the New Jersey Army National Guard for six years. His career spanned significant stints across insurance, sales, property management and culminated at Maloney Properties in Boston, MA where he retired from in 2014. 

He was a member of Greater Grace Christian Fellowship in Marlborough. His faith was an enormous part of his life. He was a hardworking, passionate and thoughtful man who loved a good joke. Bob was able to share his love of people and his faith by delighting them with his famous homemade English muffin bread. He relished his moments of quiet solitude, especially during large family gatherings. His pastimes included various word games and puzzles, music, and reading. Bob dedicated a generous amount of his time to various organizations in his community throughout his entire life. Above all else, he loved his family. 

Besides his wife Jeanne he leaves four sons and their spouses, Thomas R. Dunn and Pamela of Quincy, James M. Dunn and Nicole of Marlborough, Jonathan M. Dunn and Sunita of North Reading and Timothy P. Dunn and Alexandria of Waltham; three daughters and their spouses, Lisa J. Butts and Matthew of Milford, CT, Patricia M. Maggio and William of New York City and Cynthia A. Machado and Lucas of Shrewsbury; a brother Gerald Dunn of Lake Hopatcong, NJ; nine grandchildren, Kasey, Jarrod, Madison, Devin, Jace, Gia, Alexis, Kaylee and Jackson; many nephews, nieces and cousins.

A funeral service will be held Thursday February 3 at 11 AM at Greater Grace Christian Fellowship, 187 Pleasant Street, Marlborough. Calling hours will be held Wednesday February 2 from 4-7 PM in the Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
