Nancy Tierney Obituary

Marlborough - Nancy A. (George) Butler Tierney, 73, a long time resident of Hudson, passed away Sunday February 7, 2021 surrounded by love.  She was born in Framingham and was raised in Hudson, the daughter of the late Harold and Alice (Porter) George and was a graduate of Hudson High School.

Nancy was a loving mother and an exceptional grandmother. She adored her girls and was lucky enough to be a stay at home mom. Her grandchildren were her world - One could say she was a fixture on the bench at the boys basketball games. In her younger days, she was an avid tennis player and loved spending her spare time playing tennis and won many trophies. Her natural talent was decorating, the home she raised her family in could have been featured in "Better Homes and Gardens". Her fashion sense was both conservative and impressive.

In her last years she was happy to be living with her daughter Marybeth and her husband Michael and especially enjoyed being the confidante of her grandson, Kyle. Their heartfelt conversations will always be remembered.

She leaves behind two daughters, Linda White and her husband John of Marlborough and Marybeth Juliano and her husband Michael also of Marlborough; a brother David George and his wife Janice of Orleans; a sister Linda Roach her husband Larry of Fort Myers, Florida; three grandchildren, Thomas White of Jamaica Plain, Cameron White and Kyle Grasso both of Marlborough ; two great grandchildren, Lila and Finn White; her first husband and father of her children, Richard Butler who passed away in 2012; former late husband, John Tierney  and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of late John George of Marlborough.
