Mary L Levesque of Marlborough passed peacefully on Oct 2, 2021 at St Patrick’s Manor, Framingham after a brief illness. Mary was born in Arlington, MA on May 21, 1927. She was the daughter of Arthur and Frances (DeVany) Levesque. She was raised and lived in Newton and Waltham, MA before moving to Marlborough in 1961 and sharing her home with her aunt Marietta DeVany for more than 30 years. Mary worked at New England Telephone & Telegraph for 32 years before retiring in the early 80’s. Mary was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish since moving to Marlborough. She was an avid Bowler and played on leagues at Maple Lanes and various area lanes until the Covid Pandemic began. She also enjoyed visiting the Marlborough Senior Center and taking bus trips with friends to area Casinos. Mary loved to travel and visited Greece, Switzerland, Canada, Alaska and lots of areas in the US in her younger years.
Mary is survived by her sisters Patricia Shea and her children Michael (Debra), James (Maureen), Janet (Sue), Brenda and Elaine (David). Edith McMullin and her children Thomas (Kathleen), Tim (Gina), Robert (Michelle) and Edward. Her brother James’ children Gerard (Cecelia), Steven, Mark (Lauren) and Mary. Many great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother James Levesque of Duxbury, MA.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Friday Oct 15 at 10 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, Prospect Street, Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street. Arrangements are under the direction of the Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
