Franklin- Margaret M. “Midge” (Lucier) Sullivan, 72, of Franklin and formerly of Milford died suddenly while vacationing in Vermont with her husband Mike on Saturday August 11, 2018. She was the wife of Michael K. Sullivan for the past 36 years. She was born in Milford, the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Kerns) Lucier and was a 1964 graduate of the former St. Mary’s High School. She went on to receive her BA in Education from Worcester State College and her Master’s degree from Cambridge College. Midge was a retired fifth grade teacher for the Franklin School System. She was a member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association, and an active participant in the annual teachers convention in Boston. Midge loved life and adored her children and grandchildren, she also enjoyed family vacations, outings with her sisters, antiquing, shopping, reading and especially trips to Foxwoods with her husband.
Along with her beloved husband she is survived by two daughters, Colleen Sullivan of Wareham and her partner Brendan Leal and Cathleen Granskog of Redding, CT and her husband Michael; three grandchildren Jace, Emily and Brynn; nine siblings, Sr. Theresa Lucier S.P., of Holyoke MA, Marie Campbell of Franklin MA, Anne Connoni of Holliston MA, Joseph Lucier of CA, Regina Dolly Langevin of Manomet MA, Peter Lucier of CA, Paul Lucier of ME, Bernadette Lucier of CA and Alice Scano of Hopedale MA; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Margaret was predeceased by five siblings Marie Lucier, Helen Ford, Edward Lucier, Emery Lucier and Michael Lucier.
Calling hours will be at the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home (www.bumafuneralhome.com), 42 Congress Street, Milford on Sunday August 19 from 3-7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday August 20 at St. Mary’s Church, 19 Winter Street, Milford. Following cremation, burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Midge’s name may be made to the Michael Lisnow Respite Center, 112 Main Street, Hopkinton, MA 01748.
