Julie-Anne Lavallie Obituary

Worcester- Julie-Anne P. Lavallie, 51, of Worcester and formerly of Henderson, Nevada died Wednesday August 31, 2022 at UMASS Medical Center surrounded by friends and family. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Mary T. (Boland) and the late Robert D. Lavallie, Sr.  She was a graduate of St. Peter-Marian High School Class of 1989. Julie went on to receive a Bachelor degree in Accounting & Finance from Worcester State College.  She had a long successful career in leadership working as a General Manager of Jillian’s Entertainment in Worcester and Vice President of Operations at Lucky Strike in New York. Julie utilized her previous experience and moved into a career as an event coordinator for corporations such as Dos Caminos and Tao Nightclub in Las Vegas for many years.  She traveled the world and had a great fondness for visiting Ireland and learning about her Irish heritage.  Julie was a generous soul with a big heart for animals and especially loved horses and her dogs (Coty, Maddy, Oscar & Lucky) .  She was an amazing baker and always cooked an exorbitant amount of food regardless of how many people were joining because having leftovers for days was important. She played a mean game of pool and could brighten a room with her smile and gleaming blue eyes. Her voice and boisterous laugh could literally be heard for miles.  Regardless of where she lived across the country (NY, CA, NV), she never lost her strong Boston accent and couldn’t quite adhere to speaking in a reasonable volume when telling a story or sharing her excitement.  She developed a passion for running and completed multiple half marathons, and duathlons that aligned perfectly with her love of travel and allowed her to travel all over the country. Julie fiercely adored her two nieces, Brynlee and Ella Hall and spoiled them rotten with any opportunity she had.  She’d spend countless hours video messaging and playing games with them when distance played a factor. She loved entertaining and enjoyed spending time with her friends and had long lasting relationships that spanned countless years.

She leaves her mother Mary T. Lavallie of Worcester; her sister Dawn M. Hall of Santee, California; two nieces, Brynlee and Ella Hall of Santee, California; former husband and life long friend Dean Prater, two aunts, Sheila Noone of Holden and Margaret Emmons of Worcester; two uncles, Thomas F. Boland and his wife Nancy of Worcester and John T. Boland of Worcester..She was the sister to the late Robert D. Lavallie, Jr. of Worcester who died in 1993. Sister-in-law to the late Kristopher Hall of Santee, California. Granddaughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Thomas F. Boland and Mr. & Mrs. Robert L. Lavallie. Julie and her family would like to thank the Doctors and the dedicated and amazing staff at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston and the 6th Floor ICU @UMASS University campus.

A Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church at 11am on October 15, 2022..  Arrangements are under the direction of the Collins Funeral Home (www.collinsfuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. All are invited to sign Julie’s online guestbook at www.collinsfuneral.com.
