Marlborough- Jeffrey D. Ferber, 67, of Marlborough died Thursday October 21, 2021 at his home. He was born in Manhattan, New York, on 12/15/53. the son of the late Jerome Ferber, MD and Mildred Gerdts Ferber.
Jeffrey graduated high school from Saddle River country day school in New Jersey. Graduated from Marlboro College Vermont in Biochemistry, Biology and Psychology in 1977. Johnson and Wales in Culinary arts in 1981. Ulster community college in water quality monitoring in 1986. Jeffrey was a Chemist for the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority for thirty-two years, retiring in November of 2019. He was also a chef, travelling across the United States to share his passion of cooking. He also had a tremendous talent for sculpting ice. In his spare time, he enjoyed hiking, camping, reading, canoeing and swimming at The Creek in Sawkill, New York. He enjoyed a wonderful sense of humor and was constantly learning new things; he had a zest for life. Jeff was humble, caring, loving, happy, but more than anything he was a wonderful dad to his three children. They were his world.
He leaves his son David J. Ferber and his wife, Victoria of Quincy; his twin daughters, Tonya K. and Tosya Ferber both of Marlborough; four sisters, Janet Goff, Dina Lemessurier, Amy Ferber and Hilary Ryan; his former wife Christine (Onny) Ferber; many nephews and nieces.
A celebration of life in Jeff’s honor will be held on Saturday, November 6th at 9:30 am.
In lieu of flowers donations in his name can be made to the trustees Massachusetts.
