James A. Bratkon

Marlborough- James A. Bratkon, 81, of Marlborough passed early morning on Thursday July 7, 2022 at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center.  The husband of the late Marilee D. (Chase) Bratkon who he lost in 2009. The son of late Earl and Josephine (Dalessio) was born, raised, and educated in Marlborough; all the while still remaining proud of his Italian and Albanian heritage. As a man who loved working with his hands, he practiced his craft as a leather cutter for Frye Boot for over 20 years and retired many years ago.  After retirement, he filled his days taking care of the grounds at Trombetta’s Farm in Marlborough.  James and Marilee spent their coveted final years together vacationing in Florida with their dog, Tina. James always loved spending time outside sunbathing, spending time with his family, and tending to his gardens.
He leaves a son James A. Bratkon, Jr. of Marlborough; a daughter Victoria Bratkon and her wife Patricia Joyce of Boynton Beach, Florida; two brothers, Earl “Jay” Derosier of Shrewsbury and Richard Derosier of Hudson; two grandchildren Bianca Bratkon of Delray Beach, Florida, and Nicholas James Bratkon of Salem, Massachusetts; he was the brother of the late Patricia Morelli of Marlborough. 

Calling hours will be held Friday August 5 from 2-4 PM in the Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. Burial will be private.
