Glen R. St. Hilaire, 65, formerly of Marlborough, died on Friday October 13, 2023, at UMass Medical Center in Worcester.
He was the son of the late Robert (Bugaloo) St. Hilaire and Marilyn (Woodruff) Green. He was also predeceased by his older brother, Paul St. Hilaire.
He leaves his girlfriend of 38 years, Susan Marker, with whom he lived; two sisters: Lori McFaden, and Lynn St. Hilaire and her husband Scott; a niece and nephews: Lisa, Jason, Brian and Lewie; as well as many extended family members.
Glen was born and raised in Marlborough. The first half of his life wasn't easy, but, thankfully, he was eventually able to overcome much of the struggle and find some measure of peace and happiness. He was funny, creative, compassionate, and smart. He loved music and cars and Boston sports - all of which he continued to enjoy until his death. He also loved animals, always had adopted, homeless cats as pets, and since moving to very rural Spencer, MA, fourteen years ago, was able to enjoy plenty of wildlife. He always made sure that the birds, sometimes bears, racoons and other critters were well-fed. Glen was confined to a wheelchair for the last six years of his life, but never lost his love of life, even though his life had become so much more difficult. He still had hopes of, someday, driving his 1991 Camaro again. He still had tickets to an upcoming Jethro Tull concert.
Glen was loved deeply and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
