Evelyn Damigella Obituary

Marlborough- Evelyn M. Damigella, 91, of Marlborough, and formerly of Braintree died Monday June 15, 2020 after a period of declining health and complication from Covid 19. She was the wife of Harry Damigella who died in 1989. She was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Charles and Elvira (Adducci) Corleto and was a graduate of Dorchester High School. She was also predeceased by her longtime companion; Edson Reilly from Marlborough and Northborough.

Evelyn was a social butterfly who loved family gatherings, bus trips with her friends and dancing with her husband. All who knew her recognized her sunny personality and inner goodness.Having grown up during the depression, she was frugal and knew the value of a dollar, and yet she constantly gave to numerous charities, never saying no to someone in need. 

She leaves a son Anthony J. Damigella and his wife Julie of Holliston; two daughters, Ann M. Esposito and her husband John of Marlborough, Mary Durham and her husband Stephen of Plymouth; sister-in-law, Carol Corleto of Burlington; four grandchildren; Raphaela, Anna, Anthony and Erica; three nieces and a nephew. 

A graveside service will be held privately in Braintree. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at a future date.There are no calling hours.
