Edwin Quispe Navarro

Marlborough- Edwin Abelardo Quispe Navarro, 45, of Marlborough passed away Thursday August 18, 2022 at Massachusetts General Hospital.  He was born in Lima, Peru to Brigida Navarro and Abelardo Quispe. He worked for Longhorn Steakhouse for many years. Edwin loved his family and friends. He always made sure to make time for everyone, whether they were local or in Peru. Edwin will be remembered by most for his great smile and sense of humor. He filled the room with laughter wherever he went, making sure everyone around him was happy and well taken care of. He was an avid fan of the Peru National team and Alianza Lima, having gone to many of their games all around New England. He loved his culture, often listening to Peruvian cumbia, and was an avid foodie, one would see him trying out different restaurants with his Tio, San Juan Rojas. He was a selfless and compassionate person, and he will be missed by all who had the pleasure of getting to know him. 

He leaves his mother Brigida Navarro of Marlborough; his father Abelardo Quispe of Lima; two brothers, Alfredo Rojas of Hudson and Juan Navarro of Marlborough; two sisters, Magaly Cheng of Framingham and Maribel Quispe of Clinton; several nephews and nieces. 

A graveside service will be held Tuesday August 23 at 11:00 AM in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street. Calling hours will be held Monday from 6-8 PM in the Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. All are invited to sign his online guestbook at www.collinsfuneral.com. Marlborough - Edwin Abelardo Quispe Navarro, 45, de Marlborough falleció el jueves 18 de agosto de 2022 en Massachusetts General Hospital. Nació en Lima Perú el hijo de Brigida Navarro y Abelardo Quispe. Trabajó en Longhorn Steakhouse por muchos años. Edwin amaba a su familia y a sus amigos. Siempre hacía tiempo para pasar un rato con todos en su familia- los que están cerca  y los que están en Perú. Siempre será recordado por su sonrisa maravillosa y su buen sentido del humor. Siempre llenaba de risas y carcajadas en donde estaba, asegurando que todos estén felices. 

Fue un fan apasionado de la Selección de Perú y del Alianza Lima e iba a todos los partidos que podía cuando vinieron a Nueva Inglaterra. Amaba su cultura, muchas veces podía ser visto escuchando cumbia peruana. También fue un amante de la comida y regularmente iba a probar varios restaurantes con su padrastro (y “Chuchi”) San Juan Rojas.  Fue una persona compasiva y humilde y será echado de menos por todos los que tuvieron el placer de conocerlo. 

Edwin deja a su madre Brigida Navarro de Marlborough; su padre Abelardo Quispe de Lima; dos hermanos, Alfredo Rojas de Hudson y Juan Navarro de Marlborough; dos hermanas, Magaly Cheng de Framingham y Maribel Quispe de Clinton; y todos sus sobrinas y sobrinos.

El entierro será el martes 23 de agosto a las 11:00 de la mañana en  Evergreen Cemetery, en Wilson Street. El velorio será el lunes desde las 6 hasta las 8 de la noche en el Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
