David J. Rolinski, 68, of Hopkinton died Wednesday September 20, 2023 at his home while surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with his long-term illness. He was the husband of Barbara D. (Tuttle) Rolinski for the past 36 years.
David was born in New York City, the son of the late Stephen and Helen (Wasiak) Rolinski and was a graduate of Archbishop Malloy Catholic High School Class of 1973. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from The Cooper Union in New York City. He worked at Raytheon in Massachusetts for 35 years and retired in 2020 as a Senior Principal Engineer.
In his spare time David enjoyed going for long walks with Jake, his beloved corgi. His favorite vacations were thrill seeking which included roller coasters and white water rafting or educational experiences. In later years he loved luxury cruises, participating in many port excursions. He was an intellectual who kept up with current events and enjoyed watching historical documentaries. David was quite tech savvy, enjoyed working on cars, wood working, and maintaining his home. He will be remembered as a reserved and devoted family man. He was also strong willed and determined.
Besides his wife Barbara, he leaves a son Eric D. Rolinski of Hopkinton; two daughters, Kristen A. Rolinski of Chicago and Sonya G. Gibson and her husband Brian of Millville. He was predeceased by three siblings, Michael Rolinski of Jupiter, Florida, Douglas Rolinski of New York City and Diane Rolinski of Burlington.
