Claire P. Thebado

After a long illness Claire P. (Johnson) Thebado, 86, formerly of Marlborough passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Charles “Chuckie” Thebado who passed away in 2007.

She was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Henry and Patricia (O’Brien) Johnson and was raised in Cambridge. She was a nationally ranked speed skater.  Claire loved her animals, and leaves behind her beloved dog Jillie.  Her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, providing them with the guidance to be happy and successful, she succeeded!  Supporting their athletics and the drum corps were her passion.   

She leaves eight children, Kimberly Elwood and her husband Jake of Boston, Karen Janda and her husband Lee of Cary, N.C., Kerri Thebado of Apex, N.C., Kyle Thebado and his wife Carol of Norfolk, Kris Thebado and his wife Tina of Marlborough, Keith Thebado of Beachwood, N.J., Kevin Thebado and his wife Mary of Oxford and Kenneth Thebado and his wife Dorry of West Boylston.  18 grandchildren, Kyle and Ashley, Erik, Kurt, Ryan and Chad, Kaylee and Austin, Stephanie, Nicole and Anthony, Alycia and Michael, Patricia and Charles, Kraig and Shawn, and Stephen.  12 great-grandchildren and 2 nieces.

Calling hours will be held Saturday June 10th from 2-4 PM at the Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.  A funeral service will be held following calling hours.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to MSPCA, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
