Townsend- Wayne A. Martin, 49 of Townsend and formerly of Hudson died Thursday December 14, 2006. He leaves his mother Eloise C. (Grenier) Martin of Hudson and his father Walter L. Martin of Hubbardston; three brothers, Walter L. Martin, Jr. of Marlborough, Craig A. Martin of Clinton and Scott J. Martin of Berlin; a sister Susan C. Fernandes of Clinton; 13 nephews and nieces and one grand nephew. He was born and educated in Marlborough, and was raised in Hudson. He worked for Bemis Corporation in Shirley for over 15 years. Previously, he had worked at American Optical for many years. Mr. Martin was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking, photography and golf. He was a race car fan and dirt bike racer. His funeral and burial will be private. Calling hours will be held Wednesday December 20, 2006 from 5-8 p.m. in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.SFCFH.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
