Winchester- Veronika (Sackl) McMaster, 97, of Winchester, and long-time resident of Woburn, passed away on Tuesday October 15, 2024 at Winchester Hospital. She was the wife of the late John J. McMaster who died in 1977.

She was born, raised and educated in Zagreb, Yugoslavia.

Veronika loved to cook, travel, and garden. She could often be found with her grandchildren picking tomatoes in the yard, or cooking them a big stack of pancakes, all while sharing stories of her adventures. She was a dedicated grandmother who not only adored her grandchildren but helped raise them. She will be remembered as being kind, compassionate, vibrant and feisty.

She leaves three children; her two daughters Veronika Rideout of Tuckahoe, NY, Jeanne McMaster of Woburn, and her son, John J. McMaster and his wife Jane Fraier of Boylston; four grandchildren, Michael, Justin, Derek and Kathleen; five great grandchildren, Michael Jr., Jack, Kate, Sophia, and Paige. She was predeceased by her parents, three brothers, a sister and a grandson, Jared.
