Marlborough- Thomas J. McIntyre, 93, of Marlborough died Sunday October 19, 2014 at Marlborough Hospital. He was the husband of Caroline C. (LaMarco) McIntyre for the past 69 years. He was born in Somerworth, NH the son of the late Thomas A. and Mary (O'Malley) McIntyre and was raised and educated in Marlborough. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater and receiving the Purple Heart. Tom worked as a Union Steward for the Laborers International Union Local 609 in Framingham for 40 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the ITAM, and as a younger man trained race horses. He enjoyed walks in the woods, fishing, playing baseball and was an real family man who adored his two grandchildren and his great granddaughter Adrianna. Tom was caring, loving and devoted to his wife, that he lovingly referred to as Butch throughout their marriage. He also loved his cats Aries and Leo. Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Cheryl A. Demers of White Bird, ID; a sister Mildred Boisse of VA; two grandchildren, Richard Demers and his wife Vanessa of Marlborough and Erin Edinger and her husband Toby of Aliso Viejo, CA; a great granddaughter Adrianna Demers of Marlborough; many nephews and nieces; he was pre-deceased by his siblings, Cecilia, Mary, Kathryn, Madeline and Eddie.
Following cremation funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
