FAIRBURN, GEORGIA - Thomas C. Anderson, 80, of Fairburn, Ga., died Friday, Aug. 28, 2009 at Fairburn Healthcare Center. He was born in Manhattan and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of the late Chester T. and Josephine M. (Gutoski) Anderson, and was a 1947 graduate of Trinity High School. He received a BA degree in marketing from Hofstra University in 1951, and was a member of Epsilon Sigma while attending Hofstra. Tom was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War from 1950 to 1955, serving aboard the USS Edward H. Allen (DE-531).
He leaves three daughters, Stacie M. Anderson, Tamantha Anderson, and her husband, Davies Amuti, and Deirdre Anderson; and three grandchildren, Gabriella Amuti, Dimitri Grant and Karla Larson.
Burial with military honors will be held Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 2:30 p.m., in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
