Marlborough- Susanna W. (Weisse) Parker, 84, of Marlborough and formerly of Waltham died Thursday August 8, 2013 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester after a short illness.  She leaves her husband of 51 years Christopher Drown Parker.  She was born in Vienna, Austria the daughter of the late Hans and Gerta Weisse and moved to New York in 1930.  She was a graduate of High Mowing School in Wilton, NH and received a BA in history from Adelphi University in New York and later received a Master's of Education from Harvard.   She was a bookkeeper for Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission for 25 years retiring in 2004. Prior to that she was the Director of Plymouth Nursery School in Belmont.  She loved the big city, often spending time in Boston and New York, she was out going, loved meeting new people, attending parties, reading, family and friends and getting her nails done!  She was a strong woman, who persevered through any obstacles life threw at her. She was kind, compassionate and constantly worrying about those she loved, with a great enthusiasm for life. Besides her husband she leaves a son Andrew C. Parker of Sturbridge; a daughter. Bronwyn Cooper, M.D. and her husband Gil of Sturbridge; two granddaughters, Ava and Rebecca Cooper both of Sturbridge.

Calling hours will be held Saturday August 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home ( www.CollinsFuneral.com ), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.  Following cremation burial  will be private at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.  All are invited to sign Susanna's guestbook at www.CollinsFuneral.com .
