MARLBOROUGH- Susan M. (Lepore) Kay, 51 of Jefferson City, TN and Marlborough died Wednesday October 18, 2006 in The Hospice Residence at Coe's Pond in Worcester. She was the wife of William A. Kay for the past 30 years. Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Sarah A. and Mackenzie S. Kay both of Jefferson City; her parents, Paul F. and Lillian R. (Branconnier) Lepore of Marlborough; two brothers, Michael J. Lepore of Shrewsbury and Peter J. Lepore of Worcester; a sister, Margaret R. "Peggy" Bastien of Worcester; an aunt, many nephews, nieces and cousins. She was born and raised in Marlborough and was a 1973 graduate of Marlborough High School. She was a United States Air Force Vietnam Veteran, having served as a Russian Linguist stationed at Karamazel CDI, Turkey. She was a graduate of the Department of Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA. She attended Oregon State University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Indiana University. She was an administrative assistant at Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City for many years, working with the Bonner Scholarship Program. She previously worked at the University of Tulsa for several years. She was an avid reader and writer who enjoyed hiking, skiing, gardening and traveling. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a warm, altruistic, caring woman who was a great listener and was someone people would seek out for advice. She was a best friend to her husband and a loving mother and daughter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday October 23, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Matthias Church, Hemenway Street, Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough. Calling hours will be held Sunday October 22, 2006 from 5-8 p.m. in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.SFCFH.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
