MARLBOROUGH – Sister Yvette Raymond, a Sister of St. Anne, known in religion as Sr. M. Anne Victoria, died Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Marie Esther Health Center.  Sister Yvette was in the 89th year of life and the 67 ^th year of her vowed religious life. Born in Central Falls, RI, she was the daughter of the late George and Cora Raymond and the oldest of three children. She received her high school diploma from the former Notre Dame High School in Central Falls, RI and earned an AD degree in Nursing from Laboure Junior College in Boston.  Sister Yvette joined the Sisters of St. Anne in Lachine, Quebec, Canada and pronounced vows in 1948.

Sr. Yvette began her years of service as directress of students in boarding schools staffed by the Sisters of St. Anne in Quebec.  She served in the pharmacy at St. Anne de Beaupre Hospital (Quebec) and did nursing at the Sisters of St. Anne Infirmary also in Quebec.  She returned to the United States and spent many years of active ministry as a nurse and caregiver at the Sisters' infirmary in Marlborough which became Marie Esther Health Center.

In addition to the Sisters of St. Anne, Sister Yvette will be mourned by her brother Robert Raymond and her nieces and nephews. She will be waked Wednesday, April 15, at St. Anne Convent, 720 Boston Post Road, Marlborough, from 2 to 4 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 4 p.m.  The funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, April 16, at 10 a.m., at the convent chapel, with burial in Saint Mary Cemetery, Marlborough.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home ( www.CollinsFuneral.com ), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
