MARLBOROUGH - Sister Rose Marie Bonnevie, a Sister of St. Anne, known as Sister Marie Anne de Sauveur, 74, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at Marie Esther Health Center in her 53rd year of religious life. The daughter of Aime and Rose Marie (Martin) of Lynn where she attended school and graduated from St. Jean Baptiste School, she received a bachelor of education degree from Catholic Teacher College in Providence, R.I. In 1951 she entered the novitiate of the Sisters of St. Anne in Lachine, Quebec, and pronounced her vows in 1953. She began her teaching career at Queen of Angels Academy in Montreal before returning to the U.S. in 1955 where she served at Holy Name of Jesus, Worcester, and Notre Dame and St. Matthew in Central Falls, R.I. She was on food service in community convents in Ware, Ludlow, Holyoke, Worcester, Lynn and Marlborough and for the last 10 years, was a receptionist at St. Anne Convent, and performed many other community services. She leaves her brother, Alfred, of Freedom, N.H.; a sister, Claudette Ankiewicz of Lynn; her sisters-in-law, Terry Bonnevie of Sanborn, N.H., and Nellie Bonnevie of Westfield; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, May 4, at 10 a.m., at St. Anne Convent Chapel, 720 Boston Post Road East, Marlborough. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Marlborough. Visiting hours are today, from 2 to 4:30 p.m., with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m., at St. Anne Convent.
