Marlborough- V. Shannon-Krieger, 61, of Marlborough passed peacefully at her home on Monday November 27, 2017.  She was born in Frankfurt, Germany and raised in Bergenfield, NJ. The daughter of Elfriede (Mueller) Shannon of Frankfurt and the late Robert T. Shannon of New York.  She enjoyed quiet moments on her porch with a cup of coffee overlooking her flower garden. She also loved writing, cooking and entertaining. Veola's world was her son Shawn E. Krieger and his wife Kerri, her daughter Alexis K. Dascoli and her husband Mark and her daughter Kristina K. Krieger.  Her life was enhanced beyond measure with the gift of becoming an Oma to her granddaughter Layla Sophia and Schatzi "Bup".  She was the former wife of the late Ralph W. Krieger, and the loving sister to the late Charles P. Shannon, Linda J. Causey, Audrey C. Mauro, Lisa R. Shannon-Sury.  "In the arms of an angel, until we meet again"

Calling hours will be held Friday December 8 from 6-9 p.m. in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.  Burial will be private.
