Obituary

MARLBOROUGH- Ronald L. Cross, 97, of Marlborough died Monday April 14, 2008 in Marlborough Hospital. He was the husband of Alice M. (Duverger) Cross for the past 67 years. He was born in Hudson and raised in Holbrook, the son of the late Garfield and Lena (Ryan) Cross and moved to Marlborough many years ago. Besides his wife he leaves his son, Gerald L. Cross of Oak Ridge, NJ; a sister Ethel Gustafson of Marlborough; four grandsons and three great grandsons. He was pre-deceased by two brothers and two sisters. He was a US Army veteran of World War II having served in the European Theater. Mr. Cross worked at New England Tape in Hudson for many years and later owned and operated Cross Auto Body in Marlborough with his brother Winston. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 638 Sgt. John P. Colleary Post, Loyal Order of the Moose, former member of the Marlborough Lions Club, and was an avid TV game show viewer. His funeral will be held Friday April 18, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lincoln Chapel of the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Marlborough.
