MARLBOROUGH-Robert L. Paris, 72, of Marlborough died Saturday April 10, 2010 at home after a long battle with cancer. He was the husband of Joan F. (Morgan) Paris for the past 16 years. He was born in Cambridge the son of the late Desire and Regina (Theriault) Paris and was a graduate of Cambridge Rindge & Latin School and worked at Bay State Abrasives in Westborough as a Kiln Fireman for over 20 years. He enjoyed spending his free time vacationing in Las Vegas and Connecticut. Besides his wife he leaves a son Stephen Paris of Southbridge; a daughter Cheryl Hudson of Fitchburg and Desiree Paris of Hudson; a brother John Paris of Tyngsboro; four sisters Patricia Joyce of Cambridge, Lorraine Hannon of Wilmington, Alice Daniliuk of Cambridge and Yvonne Peck; two stepsons, Theodore Diomede of Shirley and Matthew Ward of Marlborough; two stepdaughters Charlotte Sedor and Christina Marcheterre both of Marlborough 23 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and 13 nephews and nieces. He was the father of the late Robert Paris, Jr. and the brother of the late Andrew Paris.
A funeral service will be held Friday April 16, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Marlborough. Calling hours will be held prior to the service on Friday from 11:30-1:30 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Greater Marlborough Programs, 40 Mechanic Street, Marlborough, MA 01752.
