Robert St. Hilaire, 70, formerly of Marlborough died Friday September 27, 2019. He is survived by his wife Linda Thompson of Ontario, Canada He was born, raised and educated in Marlborough the son of the late George and Lucille (Moisan) St. Hilaire. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Marine Corps. He served in the 3rd Battalion 9th Marines and was honorably discharged in October 1968. He worked as a High Rise Window cleaner for many years.
He leaves seven siblings, his sister Linda St. Hilaire and husband Johnny Nocton of Ft. Lauderdale, FL a brother George St. Hilaire of Marlborough, his brother Gene and his wife Mary St. Hilaire of Marlborough, a brother Paul and his wife Kathy St. Hilaire of Clayton, NC, his sister Denise and her husband and Lance Gardner of Groveland, MA, a sister Diane Candon and her husband John Dynan Candon (deceased) from Stuart, FL, his sister Lucille and her husband David Danzilio of Newmarket, NH; several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He was raised in Marlborough and moved to Florida where he lived for several years with his roommate Joseph Estevez, a dear friend who cared for him during his illness. Bobby will be missed by all his family and friends. He will be especially missed by his friends, Sherry, Rick and Joe Estevez from Florida.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday October 25 at 11:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Prospect Street. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Beach Street. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Collins Funeral Home, (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
