Marlborough- It is with deep respect and gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Robert A. Barry, who departed this life on June 21, 2026, in Marlborough, MA, just two days after celebrating his 79th birthday. Robert was born on June 19, 1947, and in his nearly eight decades touched the lives of many with his kindness, dedication, and steadfast character.

He was the husband of the late Eileen (O'Brien) Barry who died in 2022.

He was born in Newton and was the son of the late William F. and Angelina (Palladino) Barry. Robert served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

Robert’s memory will be forever cherished by those who survive him: his brother William J. Barry of West Yarmouth, his sister Brenda Barry of Florida; two nieces, Theresa Bankowski and Melissa Dulin and their families, and a nephew Robert Bankowski and many loving Cousins. Also dear friends Danielle Santo and her husband Joseph Williams and their son Camden all of Warren and Donna Lesanto of Groton.

Robert leaves behind a legacy enriched by love and shaped by both joys and sorrows. He was predeceased by his devoted wife Eileen Barry, whose partnership brought him strength and happiness throughout their years together. He was predeceased by his siblings, Edwina Wright, Carole Anne Bankowski, and Richard Barry.

As his family mourns his passing, they also celebrate the many years of memories, guidance, and love that Robert so freely gave. Though his absence will be deeply felt, the legacy of his generosity, steadfastness, and loving spirit will continue to inspire those who had the honor of knowing him.
