Richard B. Lynch, 76, of Quinebaug, Conn. formerly of Marlborough died January 15, 2014 at his home. He was the husband of the late Patricia M. (Wiley) Lynch for 29 years. He was born in Marlborough the son of the late Myron and Ruth (Bancroft) Lynch and was a graduate of Marlborough High School class of 1955. Richard was a Die Setter for Atlantic Business Forms in Hudson for over 30 years. He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Marlborough Country Club and Graphics Communication International Union. He was an avid reader and golfer who liked to play darts. Richard was a "wordsmith", a master at trivia and an honest, dignified gentleman who was devoted to his wife Patricia. He was also a very devoted and understanding stepfather to his four stepchildren, one of which had recently passed, Gerald A. Galligan Jr. He loved football and attended the Thanksgiving football games between the Army and Navy at West Point for many years. He loved travelling, enjoyed trips to Ireland and Boothbay Harbor, ME and sipping a good martini while listening to classical music.
He will be fondly missed and eternally loved and well thought of.
He leaves three stepdaughters, Margaret A. Galligan and her fiancé Michael Vincent of Worcester; Kellie T. Miles and her husband Robert of Marlborough and Jennifer Galligan and her fiancé Bruce Masters of Dudley; nine grandchildren, Tausha, Brandy, Bridgette, Shana, Jaime, Victoria, Shea, Samuel and Noah; five great grandchildren, Nakija, Kaylee, Makenna, Blake and Rhylee; several nephews and nieces. And he leaves his dog, Sassy.
Funeral services will be private. Burial will be held in the family lot at Eastwood Cemetery, Lancaster, MA.
