Obituary

MARLBOROUGH - Raymond A. CORNEAU , 76, of Marlborough died Monday, April 26, 2010 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a brief illness. He was the husband of Mary M. (Church) Corneau, who died in 2005. Born, raised and educated in Central Falls, R.I., he was the son of the late Amedee and Hortense (Fournier) Corneau. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Raymond was an electrical engineer for the former Digital Equipment Corporation in Shrewsbury for over 25 years, retiring in 1992. Previously, he was an electrician at Honeywell Corporation in Waltham for many years. He was the founder of All-Trol Products, Inc., a manufacturer and designer of state-of-the-art model train controls, and was an avid model train collector. Raymond enjoyed playing cards with his family and watching "westerns' and rodeos. A member of St. Bernadette Church in Northborough, he will be remembered by all as a generous, kind, outgoing spiritual man with a great sense of humor.
He leaves a son, Edward J. Corneau and his wife, Courtney, of Merrimack, N.H., and two daughters, Karen A. Lekstrom and her husband, Gregory, of Marlborough and Arlene F. Austin of Marlborough and her significant other, Russell Lukey of Hopkinton; a brother, Arthur Corneau and six sisters, Gertrude Dube, Jeannette Corneau, Estelle Jarest, Yvette Fregeole, Lucille Marquis and Sr. Helen Corneau, S.S.A.; six grandchildren, Lindsay and Leah Spada, Kelley Liebfried, and Elliot, Nolan and Aaron Corneau; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. He was the brother of the late George Corneau, Theresa St. Pierre and Sr. Rita Corneau, SCSC.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, April 30, at 11 a.m., at St. Bernadette Church, 266 Main Street, Northborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough. Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 29, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. Instead of flowers, donations may be made to St. Bernadette Parish, 266 Main Street, Northborough, MA 01532.
