Born in Dorchester, MA, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary (Elsworth) Corrigan. Orphaned as a young child, she and her sister Verna were raised by the late Mayor, Michael P. and Marguerite (Grady) Cronin and resided in Marlborough since 1933.

She was the wife of the late Francis L. Phyllis was blessed with seven grandchildren, Michael, Jonathan (Jay), Damian, Aaron (deceased), Jonah, Katie and Kevin; along with two great granddaughters, Maizie and Maryn Delano.

After graduating from Marlborough High School in 1942, Phyllis then went to assist at the Port of Embarkation in Norfolk, VA during World War II.    She also worked as a switchboard operator for New England Telephone in Marlborough .  While bringing up her family, Phyllis enjoyed her waitressing job at Kens Steak House in Framingham for over 25 years.

Phyllis was full of life and a friend to all. She had the gift of encouragement and an endearing sense of humor that brought light to many.  When she wasn't on the golf course, she would be entertaining the neighborhood kids by the poolside.  She had a great love for dogs and there was always a family pet or two.
