Philip H. Wetmore, age 57, of Woburn, died unexpectedly after a brief illness at his home on Oct 28, 2014. He was born in Natick on July 26, 1957. He was the son of the late Arthur Wetmore and is survived by his mother Dorothy (Williamson) Wetmore of Framingham, his wife Lynn Albert of Woburn and two daughters Alexandria of Woburn and Sarah of Pittsburgh, PA. He was a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute and held graduate degrees from Purdue and the University of Oklahoma.
He was an accomplished signal integrity engineer and naturally gifted physicist and mathematician. He had significant experience in the semi conductor industry and worked on some of the most difficult technical problems. He was responsible for all North American design centers and was called upon by Asian design centers. He had a reputation as a tenacious problem solver with extraordinary technical ability and a keen analytical mind. Phil was also a voracious reader and had a very vibrant mind. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Private graveside services will be held at Edgell Grove Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home ( www.CollinsFuneral.com ), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
