Chelmsford- Philip W. Perdikis, 49, of Chelmsford died suddenly due to a tragic auto accident on Monday July 14, 2014 . He was born in Lowell and raised in Chelmsford, the son of the late John and Olivia (Tormey) Perdikis. Philip had great inner strength, which made him such a wonderful person.  He was at such a happy time in his life.  Philip was a kind and gentle soul who lived an adventurous life and had a passion for skiing and the outdoors.  He shared his enthusiasm for skiing for many years participating in downhill racing and ski instructing.  He overcame many obstacles early in life and worked very hard to achieve his dreams.  Our dear brother always had a happy-go-lucky attitude and didn't let many things bother him.  His sense of humor was beautiful and typical "Perdikis style".

He worked for David Erickson Ent. for 18 years.  Owner, David Erickson, was a great mentor and was greatly respected by Philip. He had a special love for flowers and plants and created beauty around himself and others with his unique landscaping talents.

He is survived by sisters Deirdre McCalla of Gold Beach, OR and Melody Perdikis of Torrey, UT; two brothers John Perdikis of Grass Valley, CA and Bruce Perdikis of Gold Beach, OR; nephews Ben McQuaid and Brian McCalla; niece Renee McCalla and great niece Violet Olivia Sunset.

Philip had a huge extended family where he lived his short but happy life with his best friend and brother since childhood, Greg Phillips, and his wife Lisa of Chelmsford, MA, the Sweeney family of Boxboro and his skiing family along with David Erickson and all of his co-workers.

We will always love and think of you.  Rest in peace brother and friend.  Keep on whistling, we will always hear you.

Friends are welcome to the celebration of Philip's life at the Sweeney residence, 428 Flagg Hill Rd., Boxborough, MA Sunday, July 20, 2014 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home ( www.CollinsFuneral.com ), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
