Marlborough — Paulo Banks L. Neto, 49, of Marlborough, passed away on August 28, 2026. He was the husband of Kenia M. (Duarte) Banks, with whom he shared 21 years of marriage.

Paulo was born, raised, and educated in São Paulo, Brazil, and was the son of Rui B. Leite and Iurie (Dutra) Leite. He was a graduate of Unipar University in Paraná, Brazil.

Paulo previously owned and operated Nick’s Pizza and Roast Beef with his cousin Rodrigo G. Banks in Marlborough. For the past four summers, he worked at Sun Retreats Peters Pond in Sandwich, where he became a familiar and valued friend.

He was a member of the Marlboro Fish & Game. Paulo loved hunting, fishing, and cooking, and he took great pride in sharing his love of food with others. He was charismatic, resourceful, and intelligent, with a personality that made him memorable to all who knew him. A true New England Patriots fan, he enjoyed cheering on his favorite team.

In addition to his wife, Kenia, and his mother, Iurie, Paulo leaves his three sons, Asafmael “Asaf” Banks, Raniel Banks, and Emanuel “Manny” Banks, all of Marlborough; his cousin, Rodrigo Leite Banks of Marlborough; his brother, Jonas, and two sisters, Helen and Andressa, all of Brazil; and his two nieces, Larissa and Melissa Banks of Marlborough.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 3, at 7:00 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be held Friday, September 4, at 10:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough.
