Pastor Eliud Ortiz, 73, of Marlborough died Friday March 27, 2015 at Marlborough Hospital. He was the husband of Eldaa (Santiago) Ortiz for the last 52 years. He was born, raised and educated in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico the son of the late Enrique and Juana (Gonzalez) Ortiz. Eliud was ordained as a minister 43 years ago and for the last 22 years was Pastor of Pentecostal Church of God on Mechanic Street in Marlborough. He enjoyed riding horses, farming and caring for animals on his family farm in Puerto Rico. He was a caring, generous, positive person, firm in his beliefs and devoted his family and God.  Besides his wife, he leaves five sons, Eliud Ortiz, Jr. of Georgetown, TX, Pastor Ebenezer Ortiz of Dallas, TX, Joel Ortiz of Ovida, FL, Gamalier Ortiz of Framingham and Lemuel Ortiz of Fall River; two daughters, Loida and Denise Ortiz both of Ashland; a brother Abednedo Ortiz of Framingham; three sisters, Eunice Roman of New Jersey, Igdalia Medina of Framingham and Damaris Ortiz of Milford; seven grandsons and six granddaughters.

Calling hours will be held Saturday March 28 from 6-8 p.m. with a funeral service beginning at 8:00 p.m. in the Pentecostal Church of God, 32 Mechanic Street, Marlborough. Burial will be held in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home  ( www.CollinsFuneral.com ), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
