Marlborough – Olga A. (Garcia) Argueta

Olga A. (Garcia) Argueta, 80, of Marlborough, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Marlborough Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Cesar A. Argueta, who died in 2013.

Born, raised, and educated in Retalhuleu, Guatemala, she was the daughter of Teodula Garcia. Olga moved to the United States where she built a life filled with love, faith, and devotion to her family.

A dedicated member of Iglesia Pentecostés Cristo Vida El Caído in Marlborough, Olga was deeply spiritual and found strength and joy in her faith. She loved reading the Bible, cooking for her loved ones, visiting flea markets, making floral arrangements, and watching her favorite reality shows.

Olga will be remembered as a warm, kind-hearted, and compassionate woman, known for her sweet nature and wonderful sense of humor. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she was endlessly devoted to her children and grandchildren.

She leaves behind six children: sons Abner Argueta of Guatemala, Augusto Argueta of Marlborough, and Cesar R. Argueta and his wife Stephanie of Phoenix, AZ; and daughters Yolanda E. Argueta and her husband Jose, Olga L. Lopez and her husband Jesus, and Karla Y. Uluan and her husband Edgar, all of Marlborough. She is also survived by her sister, Estella Estrada of Florida, 16 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 5, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, August 6, at 10 a.m. in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough.
