MARLBOROUGH - Nicholas Chopelas, 39, of Marlborough died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009 at home. He was born in Malden, raised and educated in Everett and lived many years in Marlborough. Nicholas leaves his mother, Melanie (Chopelas) Strickland of Marlborough; a brother, BobbyJoe Strickland and a sister, Dyan Chopelas, both of Marlborough; a nephew, Anthony G. Paris of Marlborough; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Nicholas had worked for several years at Herb Connolly Chevrolet and New England AutoMax. A diehard Red Sox fan, he loved poker and fantasy football, and was a devoted uncle to his nephew, Anthony.
A funeral will be held Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 10 a.m., at the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln St., Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
