Marlborough- Myron F. Lynch, Jr., 89, of Marlborough died Tuesday January 6, 2015 at Marlborough Hills Healthcare. He was the husband of the late Lucille M. (Dupont) Lynch who died in 2006. He was born, raised and educated in Marlborough, the son of the late Myron F. and Ruth (Bancroft) Lynch and was a 1943 graduate of Marlborough High School. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II, and following a honorable discharge worked at the Marlborough Foundry as a caster, where he was employed for over 30 years retiring in 1986. Following his "retirement" he worked as a driver for Waltham Central for 25 years retiring "again" in 2011. Myron was a member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge and AmVets all in Marlborough. He was a avid Bruins and Patriots fan, and attended every Marlborough Shamrocks game with his wife Lucille. He loved vacationing in York Beach, Maine with his family.
He leaves three sons, Daniel Lynch of Snellville, GA, Michael Lynch of Daytona Beach, FL and Steven Lynch of Boston; three daughters, Robin Kehoe of Leicester, Colleen Ahearn of Clayton, NC and Lori Lynch of Miami, FL; a stepson, Dennis Dyer of Hudson; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nephews and nieces. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Donald & Richard Lynch.
A Funeral service will be held Saturday January 10 at 11:30 a.m. in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street. Burial with military honors will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street. Calling hours will be held Friday January 9 from 5-8 p.m.
