MARLBOROUGH - Michael Demeo, 51, of Marlborough, died Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, at Marlborough Hospital, after losing his battle with rheumatoid arthritis, a disease that had followed him since he was a young man. Born in Boston, he was the son of Julian J. and Ann T. (McGrath) Demeo of Hudson. He was a graduate of Braintree High School and St. Thomas More Prep School in Oakdale, Conn. He later attended Boston University and served in the U.S. Navy. Michael was a member of St. Michael Parish in Hudson. Besides his parents, he leaves three brothers, Thomas J. Demeo of Adams, Stephen Demeo of Corona, Calif., David Demeo of Boca Raton, Fla., and two sisters, Mary Donovan of Marlborough and Kathleen A. Sharp of Novato, Calif.; and six nephews and five nieces. He was the brother of the late Paul Demeo of Cape Cod and John Demeo of Marlborough.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 10 a.m., at St. Michael Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will be held Thursday January 29th at 11:00 a.m. in Holyhood Cemetery, 584 Heath Street, Brookline. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, Jan. 27, from 5 to 9 p.m., in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
