Marlborough- Mary A. (Bonin) Sweeney, 75, of Marlborough died Sunday November 26, 2017 at Marlborough Hospital after a short illness. She was the former wife of the late Thomas Sweeney. She was born in Cambridge the daughter of the late John J. and Mary F. (Navarro) Bonin and was a 1960 graduate of Marlborough High School. Mary was an assembler at Water's Manufacturing in Milford for many years and later worked at the New England Center for Children in Southborough retiring in 2008. She was the mother of the late Maryann M. (Sweeney) Bacon of Marlborough who died in 2007. She leaves her son-in-law Gordon G. Bacon of Marlborough; three grandchildren, Brianna and David Bacon both of Marlborough and Caren Bacon of Auburn.
A time of visitation will be held Thursday November 30 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Prospect Street, Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to New England Center for Children at www.NECC.org.
