MARLBOROUGH - Mary M. (Bradshaw) Merlini, 93, of Marlborough died Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center. She was the wife of Romeo J. Merlini, who died in 1970. Born in Marlborough, the daughter of the late John and Kathleen (Cruse) Bradshaw, she was a graduate of Marlborough High School. She lovingly raised her family, and later worked at Cushing Hospital in Framingham for 10 years. Mary enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing and especially yard sales with her family. She was a spirited woman with a great sense of humor, who loved spoiling her granddaughter, Chelsea.
She leaves her son, Glenn J. Merlini of Marlborough; her granddaughter, Chelsea E. Merlini of Marlborough; a daughter-in-law, Donna Merlini of Southborough; a former daughter-in-law, Linda Merlini Greengo of Marlborough; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. She was the mother of Gary J. Merlini of Southborough, who died in 1994, and sister of the late Jack and Tom Bradshaw and Elizabeth Giorgi, all of Marlborough, Kathleen Burt of Seattle, and Alice McCormick of Brockton.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in the family lot at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Instead of flowers, donations in Mary's name may be made to a charity of each donor's choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.SFCFH.com), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
