MARLBOROUGH - Marjorie C. (Holmstrom) Madden, 87, of Marlborough and formerly of Hudson and Waltham, died Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Marlborough Hills Health Care Center. She was the former wife of the late William P. Madden.  She was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Julius and Elvira (Palmer) Holmstrom, and was raised and educated in Waltham. A graduate of Waltham High School, she enjoyed dancing, music, the beach, painting, puzzles of all types, the Patriots, and was an accomplished violinist. Marjorie was a lovely, strong woman, who endured the loss of three of her sons. She adored her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marjorie leaves a son, Thomas Madden and his wife, Paula, and a daughter, Debra A. Marsh and her husband, David, all of Hudson; seven grandchildren, Kenneth, Jr.  Kelly, Katrina, Bill, Tanya, Shawn and Jason; and 11 great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Gloria Madden of Lunenburg and Deborah Madden of Pennsylvania. She was predeceased by three sons, Kenneth, Timothy and Steven Madden.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 5 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home ( www.CollinsFuneral.com ), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, June 4 from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
