MILFORD - Maria "Lia" Adveni Dantas Dias, DDS, 58, of Milford died Monday, Feb. 7, 2011 at UMass Memorial Medical Center after a long illness. She leaves her husband of 30 years, Valdivino J. Dias. Maria was born in Pavao, Minas Gerais, Brazil, the daughter of the late Alcidenor Alves Correia and Guiomar Batista Dantas, and was a graduate of Catholic University of Minas Gerais where she received her degree in dentistry in 1981. While in Brazil she had her own dental practice for many years. Maria was the life of the party, bringing smiles to all those around her. She enjoyed baking, cooking, dancing and singing.
Besides her husband she leaves two daughters, Isabella Dantas Dias of Milford and Tatiana Dantas Dias of Sao Paulo, Brazil; two brothers, Adilson Correia Dantas of Framingham and Allen Dantas of New Windsor, N.Y.; and three sisters, Abigail Correia Da Silva, Maria Das Gracas Correia Dantas and Mary Correia Dantas, all of Brazil.
