MARLBOROUGH- Lillian G. (Barton) Manning, 91, of Marlborough, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at Marlborough Hospital. Her husband, John F. Manning, died in 1993. She was born and raised in Marlborough, the daughter of the late Clarence W. and Minnie (Lucier) Barton, and was a graduate of Marlborough High School, Class of 1935. With her late husband, Lillian co-owned and operated Manning Realty in Marlborough for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, travelling and had been on several cruises, and reading. She leaves a son, John D. Manning of Marlborough and a daughter, Maureen M. Murray, and her husband, David, of Ocala, Fla.; two grandsons and two granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her daughter, Judith Paige, of Corrina, Maine and two sisters, Juliette Palardy of Marlborough and Mildred Wright of East Hampton. A funeral will be held Saturday, Sept. 27, at 9 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Church, Prospect Street, Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street.
