MARLBOROUGH - Lillian Rose Lepore, 84, of Marlborough passed away peacefully Friday, October 4, 2013, at the Coleman House in Northborough. Lillian's final days were spent with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of Paul F. Lepore, Jr. for the past 66 years.
Born and raised in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Rose (Turcotte) Branconnier. Lillian had a brother, Arthur who died in 1931, and a sister, Dorothy Collins, who died in 1993. Lillian was a graduate of Marlborough High School, Class of 1946. After high school she went to work at the Curtis Shoe Factory, where she met and fell in love with her husband and lifelong partner. Lillian and Paul were married on June 28, 1947. She was a member of St. Matthias Church. Lillian's life was centered around her family. She greatly enjoyed family gatherings, and especially enjoyed the holidays. Her holiday fudge and fruit cake were enjoyed by all her extended family. Her favorite time of each year involved family vacations at Cobb's Pierce Pond Camps in Maine. Lillian's hobbies included cooking, candlepin bowling, and puzzle making. She will be sadly missed by all.
Besides her husband Paul, she leaves two sons, Michael Lepore and his wife, Mary Ellen, of Shrewsbury, Peter Lepore and his wife,, Catherine, of Worcester, and her daughter Margaret Bastien of Worcester; and a son-in-law, Francis Bastien of Grafton. Her daughter, Susan Kay of Tennessee died in 2006 and is survived by her husband William. Lillian had nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Her family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff at the Coleman House for the exceptional and compassionate care that was given to Lillian and her family while she was a resident there.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 10 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Matthias Church, Hemenway Street, Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, October 9 from 5-8 p.m. in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home ( www.CollinsFuneral.com ), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough.
