Kenneth Joseph Couturier, 66, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on August 2, 1959, in Warwick, Rhode Island, to the late Jacqueline Forcier Couturier and Edward J. Couturier.Throughout his life, Ken called many places home, including Rhode Island, Massachusetts, California, Florida, and Arizona. Wherever he lived, he built a life grounded in hard work, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to his family.Ken was a devoted father, grandfather, and brother who found his greatest joy in the people he loved. He is survived by his children, Derek J. Couturier and his wife Kim; Tiffany R. Mecham and her husband Ryan; and Kenneth “KC” J. Couturier, all of Arizona. He is also survived by his former wife, Patricia Collins.He was a proud and loving grandfather to Arianna, Jacob, Gage, McKenna, Braxton, Renner, and Greyson, and a cherished great-grandfather to Wrenly. Ken is also survived by his brothers John and Edward Couturier of California, and David Couturier and his wife Daphne of South Carolina, along with his nieces Amanda Reihl and Kristen Couturier.A lifelong sports enthusiast, Ken was a passionate supporter of New England teams, especially the Patriots, Celtics, and Red Sox. He also enjoyed boxing and spent many years coaching his sons’ sports teams, creating lasting memories both on and off the field.Ken had a deep appreciation for classic cars and took pride in their craftsmanship and history. In his free time, he found peace and satisfaction in gardening and woodworking. He especially loved tending to his yard and roses, dedicating countless hours to making everything just right. Whether working on cars or around the house, Ken often enlisted his sons as his “helpers,” creating moments that would be remembered for years to come.His talent for building extended to his woodworking, where he crafted beautiful hope chests and restored furniture with care and skill. Everything he created reflected his patience, pride, and attention to detail.Above all, Ken treasured time with his family. He was a constant presence at his children’s and grandchildren’s events, always cheering them on and celebrating their accomplishments. His legacy lives on through them and the values he instilled.Ken will be remembered for his deep love of family, his strength and dedication, and the care he put into everything he touched. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.In accordance with his wishes, a private family gathering will be held.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Food Bank in honor of Ken’s many years of volunteer service.
