Marlborough- Kathryn G. "Kay" (Douvas) Kofos, 92, of Marlborough died Tuesday September 19, 2017 at her home after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Dr. Monthe "Doc" Kofos who died in 2008. Kay was born in Hastings, Nebraska, the daughter of the late George and Eleni (Demakopoulos) Douvas and was a graduate of Hastings High School Class of 1943. She later attended MacMurray College in Illinois and was a graduate of the University of Nebraska where she received a BA in Education. . She was a 65 year member of the Sts. Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church in Marlboro MA, and a longtime member of their Philoptochos womens club. She was a past member and officer of the Daughters of Penelope in Marlborough. Kay most recently enjoyed spending several hours at the church's Greek Festival on Labor Day, having great fun and socializing with longtime friends. She "enjoyed extensive traveling with her husband, baking with traditional family recipes, gardening and her beloved dogs."

She leaves two sons, Dr. Nicholas M. Kofos, OD and his wife Cyndi of Marlborough and Matthew G. Kofos of Marlborough; a daughter Kathy A. Woodhouse of Worcester; Six grandchildren, Monthe, Zachary and his fiancé Brigitte Laukien, Leah, Kevin Woodhouse and his wife Britany, Matthew, Sophia and Jaylin. A great grandson Cameron, and several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her two brothers. Dr. Nicholas Douvas and Atty. Augustus Douvas.

Her funeral will be held Friday, Sept. 22 at 9 a.m., from the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home (www.CollinsFuneral.com), 378 Lincoln St., Marlborough, with a Mass at 10 a.m., at Sts. Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church, corner Central and Cashman Streets. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough. Calling hours will be held Thursday, Sept. 21, from 5 to 8  p.m., at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sts. Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church Building Fund, Box 381, Marlborough, MA 01752.
