IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kathleen E.
Jordan
December 20, 1930 – October 2, 2025
Marlborough- It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen (Cedrone) Jordan, who passed away at the age of 94 on October 2, 2025. May Kathleen enjoy eternal rest in heaven with her husband, Joseph (Jerry) Jordan, who predeceased her in 2006 after 50 loving years of marriage together.
Born in Brighton on December 20, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Molly (Daly) Cedrone. As the second oldest of ten children, Kathleen helped her mother care for her younger siblings. She and her siblings enjoyed a close family bond that remained strong throughout their lives.
In the early years of their marriage, Kathleen and Jerry lived in Natick and welcomed their son Joseph and their daughters Mary, Paula and Suzanne. They moved to Marlborough where their son Jeffrey was born. Their new home had a large backyard so Kathleen was able to enjoy her love of gardening and planted trees, beds of flowers and vegetable gardens. Their home in Marlborough became the site of numerous family gatherings with both the Jordan and the Cedrone families that included trips to the nearby beach, badminton matches, horseshoe competitions, music and, of course, lots of food. Kathleen loved cooking Italian food and baking cookies, brownies and birthday cakes. She enjoyed making crafts for family weddings and baby showers.
When their youngest child Jeffrey was in high school, Kathleen and Jerry welcomed a foster child Matthew into their home. He has been a cherished family member for more than forty years.
Kathleen's Catholic faith was the foundation of her life and her welcoming approach to others. If any family members and friends were in need of help, Kathleen's door was always open for a hot meal, a listening ear and a place to stay. She was a long-time parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Marlborough. She prayed the rosary throughout her life, a devotion she learned as a child from her mother. In her 94 years of life, she said countless prayers for her family members and friends while saying the rosary. Kathleen was a volunteer at her children's schools and her parish and was a member of various civic and community groups, including Girl Scouts and Junior Women's Club in Marlborough. She enjoyed being involved in her children's activities, such as school events, baseball and hockey games and dance recitals. She loved her vacations to the family cottage in Maine, gatherings with her brothers and sisters and their families at Hull and trips to visit her children and grandchildren in San Diego and NH.
Kathleen is survived by her loving children: Dr. Joseph J. Jordan, Jr. of Alton, NH; Mary K. Jordan of Marlborough, MA; Paula J. Morgan and her husband, Donald, of Wayland, MA; Suzanne McMahon and her husband, Robert, of San Diego, CA; Jeffrey J. Jordan and his wife, Jessica, of Rochester, NH; and her foster son, Matthew C. Leighton of Needham, MA.
Kathleen was a beloved Nana to her twelve grandchildren: Takai, Jasmine, Armand and Isabel Jordan; Sean Morgan; Robert and Joseph McMahon; Jeffrey, Jennifer, Maiya and Eden Jordan and Nathaniel Byrne. In addition, she was the proud great-grandmother of Grayson and Holland.
Kathleen was predeceased by her sisters Margaret Quimby (and her late husband, Donald), Mary Cedrone, and Rose White and her brothers Lawrence Cedrone, Anthony (Sonny) Cedrone (and his late wife, Barbara), and Francis Cedrone. She was survived by her brothers Joseph Cedrone, Thomas Cedrone (and his wife, Ann), William Cedrone (and his wife, Janet) and her brother-in-law, Robert White.
Funeral arrangements are private.
