Maynard- Kassia (De Oliveira) Vaz Oliveira, 37, of Maynard and formerly of Marlborough died suddenly on Monday December 9, 2024 at Emerson Hospital in Concord. She was the wife of Marcos D. "Max" Oliveira for the past 15 years.
She was born, raised and educated in Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais, Brazil and was the daughter of Ediney and America (Vaz) De Oliveira of Marlborough.
Kassia's life was defined by her deep passion for teaching, her devotion to her faith, and her love for family and community. Before moving to Massachusetts, she had already established herself as a dedicated English teacher in Brazil, where she nurtured her passion for helping others learn. Upon relocating, she became an active member of the Maranatha Christian Church in Marlborough. There, she not only led Bible Study Groups but also taught the ladies' Bible Study Group, where her love for the Lord shone brightly.
Kassia was a devoted wife to her husband, Max, and a loving mother to their children, Alice and Daniel. Family meant everything to her, and she cherished the time spent with loved ones. She was known for her hospitality, often cooking delicious meals and hosting family and friends during the holidays, creating lasting memories.
Her kindness and generosity extended to everyone she encountered. Kassia was a compassionate woman, always willing to lend a helping hand and share her warmth. She had an infectious smile and a welcoming personality that made everyone feel like a friend.
Her love for adventure and new experiences was evident in her spontaneous road trips with her husband. Kassia's life was a beautiful example of faith, love, and joy, and she touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.
She leaves her husband Marcos D. "Max" Oliveira of Maynard; her 6 year old daughter Alice Oliveira and ten week old son Daniel Oliveira both of Maynard; a sister Kesia Almeida and her husband Lucas of Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais; sister-in-law Mariana Oliveira of Clinton; uncle Mauro Alves and aunt Clebiane Alves of Everett; three nephews and nieces, Lara, Lucas and Liz Almeida of Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais; many cousins including Joshua and James Alves of Everett; Auntie Socorro Alves and Uncle Elmir Sergio from Delray Beach in FL and Cousin Salisa Miranda from Altamonte Springs on FL; father-in-law Luiz De Oliveira of Hudson and mother-in-law Sandra Lage of Clinton; paternal grandmother Maria Oliveira of Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais. She was pre-deceased by her sister Erika Soares of Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday December 17 from 5:30-8:00 PM in the Maranatha Christian Church of Marlborough, 286 Boston Post Road East, Marlborough. A funeral service will be held at 8 PM in the church. A graveside service will be held at Wednesday at 10:30 AM in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street.
