MARLBOROUGH - Jose Do Nascimento, 63, of Marlborough died Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at home with his family by his side, after a battle with cancer.  He was the husband of Idalina E. Gomes Nascimento for the last 42 years. He was born, raised and educated in Alpercata, Minas Gerais, Brazil, the son of Joaquim Nascimento and Maria De Lourdes Gomes. He moved to Massachusetts in 1990 and worked at Coleman House as a CNA for over 20 years. Jose was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and enjoyed soccer, rodeo, and dancing, and will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his kindness towards others.  He is survived by three sons, Marcelo, Maurico Elias Do Nascimento and Marcone Ricardo Gomes Nascimento, all of Marlborough and a daughter, Marcia Nascimento and her husband, Nilson Batista, of Marlborough; three brothers and two sisters; three grandchildren, Gustavo Santiago Do Nascimento and Emily Nascimento Batista, both of Marlborough and Carolina Do Nascimento of Brazil.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday evening, Sept. 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Prospect Street, Marlborough. Burial will be held in Brazil. Calling hours will be held Saturday, September 21 from 7-10 p.m. at the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home ( www.CollinsFuneral.com ), 378 Lincoln Street, Marlborough. In lieu of flowers donations in Jose's name may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215.
